On the afternoon of July 4, 2024, at the invitation of the College of Engineering and Agricultural Industry of Meizhou University, Thailand, the College of Food Science and Technology conducted an online exchange with the college, and the meeting was chaired by the executive dean of the College, Dean Shao Xingfeng.

The meeting first introduced the basic situation of the School of Food Science and Engineering of Ningbo University. The College of Engineering and Agricultural Industry of Meizhou University in Thailand played a short film of the college, and the dean Dr. Kanjana Narkprasom and others further introduced the food department and related research teams in detail. Jiang Shu, Du Lihui, Jia Ru, Chen Kang and other young teachers of the school introduced the research direction and content of the institute in detail, and carried out exchanges on issues of interest. The two sides enhanced mutual understanding through this meeting, and agreed to carry out specific cooperation and consultation later, and strive to carry out substantive cooperation in the field of food science, such as scientific research and teacher-student exchange visits.

It is reported that Meizhou University was founded on June 7, 1934, is considered to be the earliest agricultural institution in the history of Thailand, and has been committed to teaching students practical agricultural techniques and cultivating their love for agriculture. This exchange is a follow-up to the reception activities of the ASEAN countries Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Training class in June.
