Natural Product Chemist Specialized in Discovery of High Value Ingredients from Marine Algae, Large Scale Preparation and High Added-value Utilization. Ten years industrial experience with basic, pilot production, clinical trials research to generate new commercialized products.

• Accomplished      in project management, collaborative relationship building. Commercial-scale      preparation of biofunctional fucoxanthin from economic brown algae. Innovative      technologies include biological extraction at low temperature, stepwise      crystallization method, building a production line and the yield of      fucoxanthin reaching120kg per year. The obtained fucoxanthin treats      Alzheimer’s disease via multiple targets.

• Effective communicator with >20 publications & unique      patents about drug discovery, natural medicine, and commercial-scale preparation.      

Research Interests

· Discovery of new high value ingredients from marine algae. Currently targeting natural pigments from algae.

· Development of new environmentally friendly extraction process.

· Development of new stepwise crystallize method.
